Sired by the exceptional Thoroughbred
sports stallion 'Martin's Worry', Kingston was Reserve Champion
at his 2000 stallion approvals in Canada, indexed equally for
dressage and jumping. He earned '10' for his willingness to work
with '9's' for Character & Temperament, with good scores
for jumping scope & technique.
Kingston's sire is the proven
sire of champions in hunter, jumper and combined training in
Canada and the U.S.A. From his sire, Kingston has inherited superb
rideability and a fabulous canter - acknowledged by the judges
at the his performance test with the only '8' they awarded for
canter. His dam Ariena, is an imported Dutch Warmblood by Naturel,
and a star mare. Her sire Naturel is generally considered to
be the best approved Lucky Boy xx son. Ariena's dam is by the
preferent Dutch stallion Kristal, recognized as a sire of superior
dressage horses.
Naturel was 3- and 4-year-old
Champion at the national stallion inspection in Utrecht. He was
the absolute topper of the performance test with 8.7 for the
riding test, 8 for jumping under saddle and 9 for free jumping.
His offspring are not only valued for their sport performance,
but also for their sound constitution. In the 1993 Breeding Values
of stallions for dressage and jumping, 8-yr-old and older progeny,
Naturel was with a jumping index of 112/reliability percentage
94% and a dressage index of 111/reliability percentage 92%. In
the 1996/97 WBFSH International Breeding Guide, Naturel shows
5 get competing internationally since 1990 - 2 jumpers and 3
dressage horses. Naturel has been in the top 100 dressage sires
in 1995/96 and 1990/96.
Kingston is the sire of Kristianna,
the hi-score of the 1998 National Inspection Tour with a 1st
Premium score 8.17. Sire of one Approved son - Kenner
- Champion of his 2003 licensing scoring a '9' for jumping. He
is the sire other premium mares, Foal Futurity winners and his
oldest get are competing in dressage, jumpers and combined training.
