COXS is sired by Cassini
I by the legendary Capitol I and out of an ideal Holsteiner
mare by Caletto II. A very stately and beautiful, proud stallion,
known for his success through his offspring. Cassini completed
his stallion performance testing with a class rating of class"1"
due to his outstanding scores.
He was shown under Bo
Kreistoffersen and in l994 won the prestigous Federal German
Showjumping Championship. After this he was shown by Frankie
Sloothaak internationally and won, among others, Arheim Grand
Prix, Nations Cup wins and World Cup showjumping events. Cassini
I has a reputation of producing very rideable offspring.
Cassini 1 is the sire of Cumano, who aside from
being the most successful horse at the 2006 Aachen World Equestrian
Games, in 2005 was second in the five star Grand Prix at Valkenswaard,
and third at the Aachen CHIO. In 2004 he was the victor in the
International Grand Prix at Spruce Meadows and competed at the
Athens Olympic Games with Jos Lansink.
The dam line of COXS
is equally impressive with the Thoroughbred sire Grundyman xx
(1979). Grundyman is a son of the Irish Thoroughbred Grundy xx.
Grundyman xx was performance tested and received an 84 for dressage
and a 118 for jumping and is the sire of several approved sires
including the stallions Gaspari I and Gaspari II ranked highly
for jumping ability.
Interestingly, a Grundyman
xx daughter, Desy, was bred to the jumper Cassini in 1993 and
produced Candillo, who became a Verband approved stallion with
bonits of 8787777. At his 100-day test in Medingen in 1996 he
was the champion, with a combined score of 132 points, a riding
score of 126.7 (second) and a jumping score of 131.15 (first).
Candillo was described as a horse with "spectacular jumping
to the 'nth' degree; quick off the ground, light on his feet,
handy, smart, and totally quiet in the bridle." COXS repeats
this cross!
